Turning your laptop into a Hotspot for Wi-fi.

Have you ever faced a wi-fi connection that works well in your laptop but not in your smartphones or have you ever faced a need to share the internet connection through your laptop to other devices ?

Well, sharing via Bluetooth is certainly a way but is honestly hectic and at times don’t work well. So isn’t there a way around ?

Well fortunately  there are few ways to turn your laptop into a wifi hotspot exactly the way you turn your Android devices.

However most of such ways need some files and softwares to be downloaded from internet, there still is a simple way guys. Follow these simple steps and you will be done in a while.

1.    Run the command prompt as an administrator i.e Run as administrator.

2.    Type following command : netsh wlan show drivers

3.    From the list that appears ensure that Hosted Network Supported is YES.

4.    Next type: netsh wlan set hostednetwork mode=allow ssid=any name without space key=password(above 8 character).

5.    Check for following list to appear:

a.     The hosted network has been set to allow.

b.    The ssid has been successfully changed.

c.     The user key has been successfully changed.

6.    Now type netsh wlan start hostednetwork.

7.    Check for a new wifi connection from your phone or other device. You should be able to find a new wifi connection with name as setup by you(any name without space).
